Matted Pets
I am a firm believer in "humanity over vanity". To me there is nothing more important than your pets' happiness, health and safety.

All pets are accessed at consultation. If pets are found to have mats, they will be dealt with accordingly. In the end it's just hair, it will grow back (much quicker than you think).
Some small mats may be brushed or slightly trimmed out. Larger, more painful, mats will need to be shaved short enough to get underneath.

​Mats can cause many problems; infections, cuts, scrapes, redness, irritation. They can also hide parasites (fleas, ticks, lice). Owner will be made aware of any problems noticed.

Mats can be extremely painful and difficult to release. Because of the higher risk of injury and stress, Pooch Fuzz will not be held responsible for injuries made to a matted pet.

​Fleas/Ticks
I require all pets to be protected against fleas and ticks. This is to protect every pet in my care. If a flea is found on the pet, a flea bath will be given at the expense of the owner. In some cases, service may be refused until pet is treated. A fee will be charged if service is not able to be completed.

If fleas have been found inside the van, it will need to be taken out of commission for the day to be thoroughly cleaned and bombed to protect other pets.

Cancellation/No Show
I understand that unforeseen circumstances happen. I ask that you give 24 hours notice if we need to cancel. Habitual last minute cancellations will be charged.

I do my best to keep you aware of the time frame for your appointment. I try to stay within that time. Sometimes I have no control (difficult pet, traffic, van service, etc). I will not jeopardize the safety of the pet or myself to stay within the time set. If I am running late or early, I will always text/call. I can text/call when I'm heading toward your house if you choose.

If I arrive to your house, to find no one home. I will try to contact you. After 15 minutes, if no one is able to produce the pet, I will leave. My time constraint cannot allow any more and I will not rush to complete any pet. A fee will need to be paid before the next groom.

​All inclusive services
The services listed are all inclusive meaning they are included in the price. If a service cannot be completed on your pet, no discount will be given. I want you pet to feel as comfortable with me as they do with you. Therefore, if your pet is abnormally uncomfortable with a service, it will not be completed. Any unusual discomfort may need vet attention.

Latch-key service
I do offer latch-key service to any one who has a difficult schedule. I require at least the initial consultation for introductions. Thereafter, I can hold onto a key or use garage pin pad for access while you're away. I only ask that the dog be kept in the garage or near the front of the house. When a dog hears an intruder, first instinct says to hide and there's a possibility of not being able to get them. 

Behavior/muzzle
I request all behavior issues be discussed prior to grooming. Behavior issues will not be automatically disqualified, however I should be aware of history. I have a lot of experience handling difficult pets and have even been able to work with some to make them tolerate handling.  I HATE muzzling pets. I have several methods to use before the muzzle, but I will if need be. Mobile grooming ​creates less stress and is more bearable for most. I have the right to refuse service for the safety of myself and the pet if severe behavior is experienced. Owner will be charged full price of groom if groom cannot be completed.

​I hold the right to refuse any animal at any time and full price may be charged.

"Other" Animals/Cats
I have experience with grooming rabbits and cats. I can only take "other" pets and cats on special circumstances due to conditions of being mobile. Please, inquire for more information.
